It's my 3rd day since testing positive. I've confined myself to my room since then. The protocol in Norway is very relaxed. I was told, "Do whatever you want." I've been sleeping and reading. This morning, since it wasn't raining, and I was feeling better, I took a walk to see what I'm missing. Here's what I saw.

Bergen
Final photo and good bye to all the expeditioners.
Bergen rains a lot, but when it's sunny it's amazing. I took the funicular up Mt Floyen, and what a view. I think everyone who lives in Bergen, and every tourist, was on the mountain enjoying the rare phenomenon of sunshine.
This is just the beginning, I have a full week here to enjoy all that Bergen has to offer.
An Abrupt Ending
The original plan was to take a bus to Torshavn from Elduvik and have the afternoon and evening to enjoy the Capitol of Iceland. We were to stay overnight on the ship and have the morning in Torshavn as well.
However, we learned that a hurricane is following us and we need to get to Torshavn, have a quick look around, get back on the ship and leave by 8 p.m.
Then, we got more had news. The hurricane is picking up speed so we can't go to Shetland. Instead, we will have another long day and night in the bumpy sea, and land in Bergen a day early.
Our final night on the ship was quite lively. The captain held a goodbye event and we all toasted to a wonderful journey.

Elduvik, a village in Eysturoy, Faroe Islands
We had a bumpy Zodiac landing on Eysturay in the Faroe Islands. We landed at Elduvik, one of several villages on this island, and it has a population of 13.
After climbing slippery steps up the cliff, and a muddy path, we were greeted by this lovely guide. Our ship is in the background.
This gentleman lives in the village and is 75 years old. He is a life time resident, and went to school in this red schoolhouse.
we ate an amazing fish soup in this house. Later on we had coffee and cake in another resident's home.
Half of the village gathered to wave goodbye to us as we took a bus to Torshavn, the capitol of Faroe Islands.
