19th of May in Moss

We had a lovely day walking on a island in the Oslofjord with Dagfinn's lovely daughter Elisabeth. Afterward we ate lasagna at her house with her four children.

18th of May in Drammen

I am staying at my cousin Dagfinn's beautiful home in Drammen. Today he have me the grand tour.

After a stroll we went to the model train club. Welcome to 1969.

The day's grand finale was a drive up the mountain in the spiral tunnel. We got waffles at the top.

17th of May in Lillehammer

Pavlova for breakfast, followed by the parade.

Story of Two Farms

This is the farm, Rongstad, where my grandmother was born and grew up. Ola and Torill are the current owners. They use it in the summer for their sheep, and for weekends away from their own farm.

I stayed in this house in 1971.

My grandfather built this stairway when he and my grandmother came to Norway for their honeymoon in 1914.

Across the valley from Rongstad is Gillebo where my cousin Elbjorg invited many family members for afternoon coffee.

Family Fun Has Begun

Cousin Dagfinn planned this part of the journey. I met him 51 years ago! This picture is taken in Lillehammer at Sigrid Unset's home.

In Tretten we had a lovely meal at Cousin Steinar and Guri's lovely home.
